Don Gregorius has a remarkable history as an experienced, rock-solid public servant. He has been involved in Town government and community issues for over 20 years and has the skills needed to turn the County Legislature around to truly represent and serve the people of Ulster County.

THE GREGORIUS FAMILY

Don came to the district in 1971 and fell in love with the Catskills. He met Linda, his wife, in Woodstock in 1977 and fell in love again. The Gregorius' raised their son, Morgan in Woodstock and enjoyed the parenting pleasures of Little League, soccer, cub scouts, and school activities. In his teens, Morgan was a ski instructor at Belleayre Mountain. He got his BS at Skidmore College and currently runs a successful promotion business in NYC.

Prior to moving to the district Linda taught high school equivalency under the Rockefeller Education Initiative. Linda Gregorius served on the Ulster Assessment Board of Review for 5 years and is now a Small Claims Assessment Review Hearing Officer for the county.

Don's love for the region and his community has motivated him, again and again, over the years to offer his services to town government and community projects and committees. Today Don is running for Ulster County Legislature to make sure Ulster County continues to grow beautifully.

DON GREGORIUS' EXPERIENCE AND COMMUNITY SERVICE

1998-2004
Member of the Woodstock Board of Assessment Review he served as Chairman for last 2 of those years. Don was known for his up-beat friendliness and source of help for property owners.

1990's
Secretary of the Ulster County Democratic Committee.

1988 - 1991
Woodstock Town Board —During Don's tenure on the Woodstock Town Board he was involved with revamping Woodstock's Zoning law which established strong zoning protection and encouraged growth in a sensible manner. Other laws passed during Don's time were an Aerial Spraying Law, and Woodstock's own Environmental Quality Review Law. During this time Don served as Police liaison for the town. He was always a hands-on type of leader.

1980's
Member of the Woodstock Democratic Committee Associate of Friends of Woodstock —an environmental group concerned with the development of Woodstock.

1970's
Member of the Zena Area Homeowners Civic Association—Striving to improve the Neighborhood and the waterway. In addition, for a number of years Don Gregorius served on Woodstock's Christmas Eve Committee

EDUCATION AND BUSINESS HISTORY

Ulster County Community College, A.A.S. degree. Pace College, B.B.A. degree

Previously, as a General Manager of a large multi-state insurance agency, Don was responsible for preparing budgets, evaluating employees, negotiating contracts, hiring and training agents and being responsible for line and staff management positions.

Currently, Don and his wife Linda are partners in the antique business and have worked together as show dealers for almost 15 years.
